The goal of this project is to connect Hiram May (1798-1883) to Darius May (1826-1890) using *first-person sources*.
Here are some of the tasks that I think need to be done. I’ll be working on them, and could use your help.
- Find the May family bible (last known to be under Lizzie (Smith) Cudneys care in 1911)
- Find Eliza (Morris) Mays obituary
- Possibly find Conesus NY town records from 1826-1843 (before Darius turned 18)
I have records connecting Darius’ brother James to their father, and Hiram and Eliza to James, however there is scarce information about a connection to Darius from what is told except “family record” books, which are not first person.
